What does the SEER rating mean or stands for?

It stands for Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio, kind of like miles per gallon for an air conditioner.  The higher the SEER rating, the less energy it uses to operate.  Larger Air conditioning systems may or may not qualify for utility rebates.  Check with your local Utility Company.
